Cause for Optimism

Via aldaily, 160 big thinkers (mostly from the science and technology spheres) say what they’re optimistic about. Personally, I’m optimistic that our political discourse is finally starting to grapple, at the edges, with climate change and the coming energy shortages. I’m also optimistic that wealth and income inequality, both within the US and across the globe, will soon become the single most important economic issue for economists, policymakers and politicians.
