Voice From Guantanamo
In the Lithwick piece I linked to below, there’s a link to this op-ed from a current Guantanamo detainee. It’s inordinately depressing:
I would rather die than stay here forever, and I have tried to commit suicide many times. The purpose of Guantanamo is to destroy people, and I have been destroyed.
