Oxymoronic

James Kirchick over at the Plank says that allowing card check elections is “a tad totalitarian.” Aside from the fact that it’s a ludicrous accusation, (there is no union Gestapo for one) isn’t it also an oxymoron? Can something be “a tad totalitarian?” Isn’t the sine qua non of totalitarianism precisely its “totalness”?
