I got a letter from one today:

Dear Christopher, I greatly enjoyed your Jan. 31 article entitled "The Choice." You strike at the heart of Obama's cross-over appeal. I'm a former Republican in Oklahoma (sadly voted twice for Bush)and now consider myself a moderately progressive Independent. I find myself passionately behind Mr. Obama--in fact I have donated to his campaign. Yet I'm nearly as passionate in my loathing of the Clinton's and their political machine. I would brave any obstacle to go out and vote against her in November should she be the nominee. I wonder how many others feel as I do? The Obama brand truly offers the hope of transcending the bad-faith Limbaughs of the right. best wishes,

The Clinton hatred there is disturbing, but one wonders how widely shared.
