Agent of Change

I’m watching Josh Romney, one of Romney’s Ken doll sons, on Larry King. His spin on the election results? People voted for change, and Josh’s dad, like, um, Barack Obama and Mike Huckabee, is an “agent of change.” This is true insofar that not a single vote was cast in Iowa tonight for George W Bush, but really: Mitt Romney is an agent of change? This is ultimately the quandary the GOP candidates find themselves in. It’s clear the electorate is not real happy with the status quo and generally that spells doom for the party in power. I’m beginning to think Huckabee’s their best candidate because he has the latitude to run against the status quo in a way that no other Republican (save Ron Paul!) really can.
